Sakiusa Bulicokocoko was a reknowned Fijian musician. He was from Namara in Tailevu and played most of his music in Fiji and Hawaii. He died August 2007 in Hawaii.
He was described as a legendary musician whose rendition of Fijian classics such as Veibogi kece, Lewa lei lewa and Isa lei Lia endeared him to many generations. The government of the Solomon Islands has referred to him as Fiji’s most famous entertainer and musician, and credits him with turning Solomon Islands national song “Walkabout long Chinatown” into an international hit by transforming it from a laid-back island country tune to a rock-and-roll number.
Bulicokocoko was partially blind.

sakiusa changed fijian music forever, he brought all the old songs and put a new pop flavour to it.
he had a unique voice, a mutli instrumentalist of the deepest musical level, a magical entertainer. in my most humble opinion, he was the BEST ever. even till today theres no one in his level. it certainly was a very special priviledge to have played with, and had him as a brother, and friend. always will love and miss him.
